Soil Mechanics Laboratory - Lincoln, Nebraska

Satellite Laboratory - Fort Worth, Texas

A primary service of the Soil Mechanics Laboratories is to provide soil testing for samples submitted from the States. The Lincoln laboratory provides testing service for all regions of the US except the South Central and the Southeast Regions. The Fort Worth laboratory provides testing service for those two regions.

The Soil Mechanics Center provides a variety of services. Both locations offer a wide range of standard soil mechanics tests. Tests such as gradation analyses, Atterberg limit, soluble salt content, and others are useful in a broad range of NRCS activities, in addition to engineering activity.
